The American Express Serve Online Payment Service was made available to the public on March 28, 2011. This service has been named Serve and will be in direct competition with Pay Pal and other online money transferring services that are currently available to the consumers. This service can be accessed both online with the internet and via mobile phone service providers.

This service at the present time is only available in the American market, but will go international in the near future. At this time the projected date of service to other parts of the globe is 2012.

This system is reliable since American Express purchased the arch rival of eBay last year, Revolution Money, and has incorporated it into the AMEX family of services.

This service can now be accessed by those with iPads and iPods and other Apple OS, along with android powered devices. You can also use a connection via your cell phone thru Facebook to access the system.

For the first 6 months the fee for adding money to your online account will be waived. After 6 months there will be a charge of 2.9% and $0.30 charged per transaction via a credit card per load.

ATM charges will be $2 per transaction with the first one of the month being free. There is also no charge for using this serving off line to make a purchase at regular merchandise stores.

This service allows the customers to use the card of their choice. This is for any card issued by a US bank. This included AMEX, Visa, MasterCard and Discover card. It can be a regular Credit Card Rewards or a debit card.

The American Express Serve Online Payment Service can be used at ATMs, brick and mortar stores or online, the choice is yours.
